رَّبِّ اَعُوۡذُ بِکَ مِنۡ ھَمَزٰتِ الشَّیٰطِیۡنِ ۙ واَعُوۡذُ بِکَ رَبِّ اَنۡ یَّحۡضُرُوۡن ؕ۔
بِسۡمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِۙ۔
Halal Acts in Kinships.
Since ancient times, the illicit union of a man and a woman have been viewed negatively in society. Allah Almighty has also declared this relationship immoral and obscene. However, when this relationship takes the form of marriage as per the social and Sharia principles, this event sows the seeds of Halal acts in kinships which leads to respect, dignity and purity in the society for future generations.
Allah Almighty has revealed strict rules to keep this relationship pure, among which the direct relationship of blood (lineage) and milk (breastfeeding) is prominent. That is, marriage is not permissible between a man and a woman who are directly related by blood or milk. This issue is explained in detail below.
Halal women for marriage.
In the chapter on Haram Acts, those women who have been declared forbidden to marry a believer, except for all other women are permissible for marriage with believer, provided that the desired woman is believer. And they should be paid their dowries.
All free Muslim women with whom there is no kinship are permissible for marriage. Marrying the daughters of one's maternal aunt (khala), maternal uncle (mamu), paternal aunt (phuphi), or paternal uncle (chacha) is permissible, because in these relationships the original blood-line restriction no longer remains. However, if a maternal aunt or paternal aunt has given even a drop of milk in childhood, it is not permissible to marry their daughters or sons.
Note: The age difference between a man and a woman is not a condition for marriage. Both must be adults. In Islam, the woman's consent is necessary for marriage. Therefore, forced marriages of girls or underage marriages are not permissible in any way.
اَلۡخَبِيۡثٰتُ لِلۡخَبِيۡثِيۡنَ وَالۡخَبِيۡثُوۡنَ لِلۡخَبِيۡثٰتِۚ وَالطَّيِّبٰتُ لِلطَّيِّبِيۡنَ وَالطَّيِّبُوۡنَ لِلطَّيِّبٰتِۚ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ مُبَرَّءُوۡنَ مِمَّا يَقُوۡلُوۡنَؕ لَهُمۡ مَّغۡفِرَةٌ وَّرِزۡقٌ كَرِيۡمٌ ﴿۲۶﴾
Impure women are for impure men, and impure men are for impure women. And pure women are for pure men, and pure men are for pure women. These (the pure people) are pure from those people speech. For them is forgiveness and honorable provision.
يٰۤاَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ اِنَّاۤ اَحۡلَلۡنَا لَـكَ اَزۡوَاجَكَ الّٰتِىۡۤ اٰتَيۡتَ اُجُوۡرَهُنَّ وَمَا مَلَـكَتۡ يَمِيۡنُكَ مِمَّاۤ اَفَآءَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيۡكَ وَبَنٰتِ عَمِّكَ وَبَنٰتِ عَمّٰتِكَ وَبَنٰتِ خَالِكَ وَبَنٰتِ خٰلٰتِكَ ﴿۵۰﴾
Q-33:50O Prophet! We have made lawful to you your wives to whom you have given their dowers and whom Allah has given you as Spoils of war, and your paternal uncle's daughters, and your paternal aunt's daughters, and your maternal aunt's daughters and your maternal uncle's daughters.
يٰۤـاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا يَحِلُّ لَـكُمۡ اَنۡ تَرِثُوا النِّسَآءَ كَرۡهًا ؕ ﴿۱۹﴾
Q-04:19O you who believe, it is not lawful for you to inherit women against their will.
Marriage with woman of Ahl-e-Kitab is halal.
Allah Almighty has made all pure things lawful for Muslims, even chaste women of Ahl-e-Kitab are permissible for marriage. That is, marriage to a believing Jewish and Christian woman is also lawful. However, the condition is that the marriage is entered into with sincere intentions, and not for the purpose of immoral or illicit relations. Furthermore, their dowry (Mahar) should be paid in accordance with Islamic law.
اَلۡيَوۡمَ اُحِلَّ لَـكُمُ الطَّيِّبٰتُ ؕ وَالۡمُحۡصَنٰتُ مِنَ الۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ وَالۡمُحۡصَنٰتُ مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوا الۡـكِتٰبَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِكُمۡ اِذَاۤ اٰتَيۡتُمُوۡهُنَّ اُجُوۡرَهُنَّ مُحۡصِنِيۡنَ غَيۡرَ مُسَافِحِيۡنَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذِىۡۤ اَخۡدَانٍؕ وَمَنۡ يَّكۡفُرۡ بِالۡاِيۡمَانِ فَقَدۡ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهٗ ؗ وَهُوَ فِى الۡاٰخِرَةِ مِنَ الۡخٰسِرِيۡنَ ﴿۵﴾
Today, the good things have been made lawful for you. And the food of those who were given the Scripture before you have been made lawful for you. And your food has been made lawful for them. And the believing women from among the chaste women, and the chaste women who were given the Scripture before you, have been made lawful. While you pay the dowries to marry these women. Do not commit adultery and nor form secret relationships. And whoever disbelieves, his work has been in vain, and in the Hereafter, he will be among the losers.
